Montevallo Women’s soccer team are back in the Gulf South Conference which means the renewal of old rivalries.
Robert Lane’s tenure as head coach has seen the Falcons move from the Peach Belt to their new conference. He has improved the teams’ record each year and is pleased with the progress made.
Robert Lane/UM Women’s soccer coach: “by no stretch do we think we’re Barcelona but we do want to play an attractive brand of soccer. We want the fans to enjoy watching us play and create things off the ball with our movement and how we deliver balls to each other. I was excited to play that brand and that’s who we are and hopefully who we are moving forward.”
The 4 and 2 Falcons welcome in-state opponents Alabama Huntsville and West Alabama to Varsity Field this weekend.
