The University of Montevallo held it’s 12th Annual Run for Research on October 26, 2017 outside of the Student Activity Center. There were two races a five mile run a 1 mile walk.
The races started at three forty-five in the afternoon. There were forty-two participants this year. The race is to help race money for research programs for the students and helps fund different presentations.
Dr. Denise Myers said that the programs is very helpful, “The Run for Research is helpful in that it brings money into the programs so that they can help fund students to do outside presentations.”
After both races were finish and everyone crossed the finish line first, second, and third place medals were awarded to those who won.
The participants of the race look forward to next years race and the races to come.
