Yesterday, February 21, 2018 the University of Montevallo held its 10th annual Media Day for the department of Communication.
Guest speakers were present from a variety of different companies from Hibbetts Sports, Books-A-Million, to several local news stations. Strong Automotive out of Mountain Brook was present as well to discuss employment opportunities with potential students.
The event took off with different companies having displays at their own tables and getting comfortable with staff and students.
Then it led into three question and answer panels where employers answered student’s questions about the job market and what it takes to be successful in whatever industry you may work in.
The day wrapped up with a raffle drawing and free provided lunch at noon.
The event was another yearly success for the department and University and was a good opportunity for students to begin networking with companies they might like to work for after graduation.
