At the University of Montevallo from November 4th – 14th, student Rebekah Scholl is hosting her senior year Bachelor of Fine Art Exhibition titled “Error 404.”
Rebekah has been working hard to create something that she feels other can relate to and her goal is for others to interpret her pieces to suit their own lives.
“I pixilated their faces to kind of show a loss of identity you know if you want to connect that to social media or just our current political climate or kind of how we have to live our lives it kind of goes either way whichever one you interpret.”
Rebekah also believes that art is incredibly important for relating to others and she hopes that others can use art to be more empathetic towards others.
“For me art is incredibly important in learning empathy and exploring other people’s experiences and things in life and being able to step into that so without that I think our world would be a whole lot darker.”
