You might think walking in heels is tough, try running in them, for half a mile that is.

The men of the Interfraternity Council, composed of Phi Gamma Delta, Alpha Kappa Lambda, Lambda Chi Alpha, and Alpha Tau Omega, decided to raise awareness by running half a mile in half-heeled shoes.

The event is a play on to the “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” campaign.

President Cameron Trower says, “it’s something that IFC thought that we could really do and get behind.”

The participants had the opportunity to choose between running and walking throughout the event.

While most of the participants decided to run, one participant decided to “Strut it out” through the whole event.

Jeff Odgers, a brother of Alpha Kappa Lambda, says “I came in last, but it ain’t about winning, I did my best and had fun at it.”

All of the proceeds went towards the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes campaign.
