Art has always been a part of our lives and continues to grow in all shapes and sizes.

University of Montevallo Senior Marina Rios’ has created a collection of art pieces for her gallery titled “Sentimentum” that she hopes will inspire others to see how truly impactful art can be on our perception of others.

She hopes it will help others get a closer look at issues that are affecting members of the LGBTQ+ community.

“I just did a whole project on the community and how they have been impacted living in the south, says Rios. ” I kind of wanted to emphasize them.”

Her exhibit will be on display in the UM Bloch Hall Art Gallery from November 18th – December 5th.
