The Department of Communication Mass Communication program hosts its 2nd Annual Media Day!

The event started with a networking fair in the McChesney Student Activity Center, where Mass Comm majors and other students gathered to learn from a variety of people in the industry.

After a small lunch, Media Day moved home to Strong Hall where a Q&A was held for different interests such as Journalism, Corporate Communication, and Radio and Creative Media.

Jon Walden, a radio host from Revocation Radio in Birmingham, gave some advice for future graduates: “…[to] do the free things, the things that aren’t technically going to financially benefit you but your going to build those relationships [with people]…your going to show people you care…your going to show people that your willing to go out of your way to make their experience the absolute best possible.”

This years Media Day was a great success and will return next year!
