Story by Kit Martin

The Garden Market, located at the crossroads on highway 119 in Montevallo, opened its doors on March 12th just in time for spring!

Owners John Guthrie and Cindy Dilliard have a spacious outdoor/indoor store that holds a variety of plants and garden accessories as well as young fruit trees including apple, pear and peach.

Inside, the shelves are packed with treats from local vendors like soaps, cheese, jams, jellies, candy and fresh produce.

Peanut Butter sold here is from the Medder’s Family Farm, located in Montevallo.

Other local vendors from Calera also see their goods here, including delicious Amish Assorted chocolates.

Store hours for the Garden Market is 7am-7pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm-5pm on Sundays.
