Story by Kit Martin

The 13th Annual Montevallo Arts Festival took place Saturday at Orr Park.

The Art Fest is a chance for artists and vendors to come and sell their crafts.

The chill in the air wasn’t enough to stop locals from attending Art Fest and visitors from enjoying the live music and exploring the park.

Many of the vendors are University of Montevallo alums including Mayor of Montevallo Dr. Hollie cost and Alum Melanie Poole of Steampunk Butterfly who is also part of the Art Fest Committee.

“I am also Vice President of the Montevallo Arts Council and we’re just so happy to have everyone come out today. We have 116 artists here with us this year. We got 11 food trucks so it’s our biggest arts fest ever and we’re so appreciative of the City of Montevallo and Shelby County for their support and all the residence for coming out and supporting the arts.”

The Montevallo Arts Fest will return next year.
