Earlier in March, the city of Montevallo held the grand opening of Shoal Creek Park. Just right up Highway 119 is the 147-acres land donated to the city by Elizabeth “Betty” Mahler.

The park serves several purposes like a walking trail, newly built bridge, and a picnic pavillion. The picnis pavillion is the perfect place to hold large group events with friends and family.

This hot spot is the perfect place to stop and take a deep breath as you can hear the stream of Shoal Creek all throughout the park.

In an interview, Mayor Cost said that she is looking forward to seeing residents of the community come together at the park for different events like birthday parties or family gatherings.

The park is filled with endless breathtaking nature that will make you never want to leave.
