Alabama’s first-ever cat cafe has arrived. Gatos and Beans have been open since July and has made a big impact on the community.
Kelly Steward, the owner of Gatos and Beans, sat down and talked about how she feels about being able to start her business in the community.
“Business is great. Saturdays and Sundays we just stay rolling with people, the room is constantly full. Everybody’s happy, they come out happy, they’ve had a nice experience.”
At the cat cafe, you can reserve a session for one hour to hang out in the cat room. It’s a ten-dollar fee and coffee is included. On Mondays, they have cat yoga from 6 to 7 in the evening.
Gatos and Beans offers a twenty percent discount with a Student I.D. on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
All cats at Gatos and Beans are available for adoption in partnership with Kitty Cat Haven in Hoover.
