The University of Montevallo’s golf team is one of the two teams who was approved by the Gulf South Conference to have their fall season due to COVID-19.

Montevallo normally holds their home tournament in September every year.

However, due to COVID-19, the Full Moon Invitational was postponed to November this year.

The home tournament is one of the three tournaments that the Falcons have on the schedule for the Fall semester.

Senior and captain of the men’s team, Brett Batchelor tells a little about how the program was affected and how the tournament will run due to the pandemic.

“It’s pretty easy to social distance on the golf course. Stay 6 feet apart apart and don’t touch the flag sticks and rakes as much.”

The Falcons completed round one of the tournament on Sunday, November 1 and will end the tournament with the second round on Monday, November 2.
