Covid-19 has been effecting many people people this year. However, that has not stopped the coaches and athletes from working hard and following precautions.

There are guidelines implemented to make sure coaches and athletes remain safe and social distanced. Coach Melissa Stanotalks about what its like for her and her athletes doing these troubling times. “one way is by staying six feet apart I think most of the guidelines will say that , that helps more than anything but we also wear masks throughout practice and with everything being sanitized that really  helps”, Coach stano.

Coach Stano describes in detail how her and her athletes continue to practice and follow protocol. “I think the most difficult thing is just being mindful of health and safety but also trying to maintain and grow relationships within the team. They have a hard time with that because they may want to hang out after practice or go to dinner together or even collectively do a bonding activity and right now a lot of those things just cant happen and so I would say that is the hardest part of all of this”.

Despite circumstances the cheer team is managing to get a lot accomplished. The university of montevallos cheer team is keeping a positive attitude about everything.

The millionaire dollar question for this team is “how long is this pandemic going to last”. Yet and still no one knows but the cheer team is not letting this stop their opportunity to cheer and compete in nationals. Coach Stano has reminded her team everything being done is for them and everything else is the cherry on top.
