The University of Montevallo Men’s Golf team tee’d off at the Bulldog Bash last week.
The tournament was hosted by Union University and played at Canebrake Club in Athens, Alabama.
The team took 6 players to the tournament: 5 for the team and 1 individual.
Brett Batchelor, Paul Murphy, Brady Carman, Greg Jones, Landon Wockenfuss for the team and Cooper Markham as the individual.
The team ended the tournament with a 3rd place team finish of one over par. Brett Batchelor, from Madison, Alabama, finsihed in the top ten, taking home 9th place at his home course. Batchelor played at Canebrake on his high schools golf team.
Senior on the team, Paul Murphy led the Falcons with a three round total of two under par, finishing 5th place individually.
“This season, it was probably one of my favorite times to be part of the team. There was 6 of us traveling, there was 5 for the team and one individual… have a great atmosphere with the team, looking forward to this event, this coming week in Pensacola and also conference,” said Murphy.
The team is taking on their last regular season tournament as the head to Pensacola this week. After that, they will tee off for the last time this season at the GSC tournament.
