The City of Montevallo is now home to a number of new businesses, and more are expected to open throughout this year.

The City of Montevallo is experiencing a boom in the number of businesses opening in the area. The town, known for its unique and quirky appeal, is attracting an interesting mix of attention from business owners, resulting in a bustling and diverse downtown area.

Mindful Wellness, located on Middle Street opened its doors earlier this year. The massage therapy store offers an array of massage services.

The Soul Spot Wings, a popular wing restaurant in Calera, Alabama, is looking to expand to the city of Montevallo. Located right off of Main Street, next to CVS Pharmacy, Soul Spot is set to bring a variety of new tastes to Montevallo with menu with a variety of foods ranging from gourmet sandwiches to mouth-watering wings. Soul Spot’s ribbon cutting is scheduled for May 1st at 10 A.M.

The Village on Valley is a busy area, home to number of businesses, most recently, Navarro’s Fresh Market, a latin-inspired grocery store with a variety of goods and a fresh meat counter.

Also located in the Village on the Valley area, Slice Pizza and Brew, originally scheduled to open its doors in 2019, hopes to open for business later this year.

There are two new Dollar General locations that are open, one on Highway 25 and one on Highway 119.

More businesses are expected to open throughout the rest of the year thanks to the Montevallo’s Main Street initiative. Previous mayor Hollie Cost mentioned a new Mexican restaurant, as well as a new barbecue restaurant that are both suspected to be coming to the area soon. Little information is available about either of these prospective establishments at this time.
