Her Campus at Montevallo
Her campus is a trendy feminist organization here at the campus of Montevallo. This organization is very women empowering and fashion-based. It allows people to come together with positivity and showcase their fashion and stay up to date with the day-to-day trends.
“Being a part of an organization such as Her Campus. Allowed me to become closer to many different people and have the ability to showcase my love and passion for fashion. I also am a very trendy person so keeping up with trends and staying up to date with trends was another reason why I wanted to be a part of this organization.” said Alexis Young, who is a senior graphic designer.
Many celebrities up the standards when it comes to fashion from the iconic looks from runways, Met Gala, and just the red carpet walks. Celebrities keep us on our toes and never disappoint when it comes to fashion and making trends.
“Teyana Taylor and Carry Bradshaw has been my biggest inspiration when it comes to fashion. I really love the way Teyana incorporates menswear in women’s fashion. I think it the feminist/masculism elements to collab in such a nice way. I love how Carry’s style is very eccentric and how she plays around with different prints and shows freedom and confidence in what she wears.” Alexis said.

With Her Campus still being a freshly new organization, it still has hit the number in membership such as other organizations here on campus. “I hope that in the next few years Her Campus grows in membership” Alexis also continued with “ Her Campus will be the next big thing here on campus in the next few years. We have so many new things coming.”
Fashion has become that new way for people to speak out or express themselves. “Unexpected. That is how I would describe my fashion.” Alexis said.
Unexpected was a very interesting word to use to describe her fashion. She feels like that word described her fashion because she said “her fashion depends on the way she feels.”
