The University of Montevallo is hosting flu and COVID-19 vaccine walk in clinics at the Student Activity Center.

These clinics are open to the public and offer first, second, and booster doses of the Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccines, as well as the flu vaccine.

Booster doses of the COVID-19 vaccines are available to anyone 18 or older who received the Johnson and Johnson dose at least 2 months ago, and anyone who received their second Pfizer or Moderna dose at least 6 months ago and are:

  • 65 or older
  • Long Term Care residents
  • 18-64 with underlying medical conditions
  • 18-64 at increased risk due to occupational or institutional setting (including students and professors)

Student Randall Cooley says the process was a breeze, “The hardest part was sitting at my apartment filling out paperwork.”

All you need is a completed vaccine form, which you can fill out upon arrival or print at home, a valid ID, insurance card or social security card, and your COVID-19 vaccine card if this is your second or booster dose.

The flu vaccine is free with insurance or $25 (cash only) without, and the COVID-19 vaccine is available at no cost.
