Ranked 11th in the preseason conference poll, Bruce Dietterle’s mens have shown a whole new face this season by winning the regular season. Falcons finished the season with a 13-3-2 record narrowly escaping a bid for the NCAA national tournament.
Two weeks after their last game of the season and loss over Spring Hill in conference quarter-final, Falcons received their regular season champion’s trophy. The first time in 10 years for Bruce Dietterle, head coach of the team.
“This group has proven throughout the season that it was special. I think this group deserved more but unfortunately our defeat in the quarterfinals of GSC put us in a bad position and our fate was no longer in our hands after this game. I want to congratulate this group for this great season” Dietterle said.
