The University of Montevallo’s National Pan Hellenic Council hosted a lupus fundraiser car wash on September 23rd. The event was held at the university lake and was open to everyone who wanted to stop by and get their car wash.
The NPHC decided to choose a local lupus charity group to donate all proceeds to, they chose lupus because their Vice President Teah Thompson struggles with lupus in many ways.
“Lupus runs pretty rampantly in my family, not only was my mom diagnosed with lupus, but my aunt , ive lost a god sister to lupus and I also struggle with lupus” Says Thompson.
There were many and smiling faces at the lake that Friday , the NPHC had much support from students and faculty all over campus.
