This semester the Carmichael Library is opening its bottom floor 24 hours a day Sunday through Wednesday for UM students.
The library received student requests for years and finally this policy is now a reality.
At midnight Library assistants shut down the top two floors and leave for the night. Leaving the bottom floor open for the entire evening and morning.
The option to study somewhere besides a dorm is a welcome one for many UM students
There is now a place open past midnight on campus for all late night studiers and snackers.
If you plan on taking advantage don’t forget your UM ID, assistants scan the cards of those staying past midnight as this is a privilege open to current Montevallo students only.
If you’re looking to escape somewhere to study at all hours of the night or morning, don’t forget the Carmichael.
