Gold Side held their philanthropy event, Pie a Gold, this past Thursday to benefit Smile-a-Mile which is a non-profit located in Birmingham, Al. that works with children and families battling childhood cancer.
Students were able to come out at pay $3 to pie a member of the Gold Side. They gathered on Brooke Quad and throughout the afternoon were able to spend time together while benefiting charity.
Not only were students able to raise money, but they got to have some fun as well. “My favorite part about the Pie a Gold fundraiser is the opportunity that we get to hangout and fellowship with each other but at the same time we are supporting a pretty good cause,” says gold, Alex Brocksmith.
