Last Tuesday the Montevallo Police Department held National Night out at Pecan Grove. This is the department’s tenth year hosting this event.
National Night Out is a way for the community to get to know those who are protecting and serving us every day. Chief Littleton from M-P-D, who has been with the department for 20 years, loves getting to meet members of the community.
There were many in attendance including the fire department, the DA’s office, U.S. Forestry Service, branches of the military and more.
There was also fun for the kids as well, which included a bouncy houses, bubbles and a glam booth.
If you missed the event, do not worry. The police and fire department will be hosting Chiefs Challenge next Thursday, November 1. Come see the departments challenge each other and bring the kids to challenge them as well.
Chiefs Challenge will be held at the football stadium at 5:30 pm.
