Seniors in the communication studies department held their annual COMS Senior Showcase. The event took place in the Student Activity Center this past Thursday, Oct. 27, from 1-3 p.m.
The COMS senior showcase serves as the capstone for the senior seminar class, COMS 499. During the event, seniors shared the research they have done during their time at UM.

“This is an opportunity for the senior class to celebrate themselves and share with our public audience the accomplishments they have done through their academic career here and some of their goals,” says Dr. Ray Ozley, professor of the COMS studies capstone class, “It shows the diversity and depth of what our students do.”
2022 marked the 3rd year of the COMS Senior Showcase, and the event gained attraction with about 80 people in less than an hour.
Seniors were happy to share with visitors about the work they have been doing. COMS Studies senior Mason Brocksmith shared his research about plastic pollution. “I’m really excited about showcasing all the research I’ve done over the last couple of years and to spread awareness to everybody.”
