UM will be hosting Financial Literacy Week April 10 through 13. During these days, there will be workshops and activities that will help students learn how to take control of their finances.
During these events, students can earn Falcon Money which can be redeemed at the Falcon Store.
There will also be a Cash Cab Cart from Career Services around campus that will pass out snacks and Falcon Money.

Falcon Fortune Wheel – April 10, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Anna Irvin Dining Hall
Students can test their financial knowledge for a chance at free goodies and Falcon Money.
Student Loans Unlocked: Know Your Options – April 11, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wills Hall, Room 200
The Student Aid Office will host a workshop to help guide students through the student loan process and explain how to manage their loans.
Desserts and sliders will be provided.
From Broke to Boss: Applying for the Perfect Campus Job – April 11, 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Wills Hall, Room 200
Student Employment will host a workshop that will help students learn how to apply for the right campus job for them.
Lunch & Learn Workshop: Swipe Smarter, Not Harder – Wednesday, April 12, noon to 1p.m. at Morgan Hall, Room 105
Accounting instructor DeAnna Smith will guide a workshop talking about credit and how students can build good credit.
There will be lunch from Jimmy John’s for the first 35 students to attend.
Side Hustle & Debt Elimination Strategies 101 – Thursday, April 13, 3:15 to 5 p.m. at Wills Hall, Room 200
Personal finance educator MJ Bridges will help students find ways to start their own side hustle or small business. Plus students can learn about resources that will help them pay off their school debt and eliminate credit card debt.
There will be dinner from Moe’s for the first 35 students to attend.
