UPDATE: The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency announced the arrest of a third suspect Wednesday afternoon. Wilson LaMar Hill Jr., 20, of Auburn is facing four counts of reckless murder.
Original story is below:
Two teens were charged Wednesday with reckless murder in the mass shooting at a sweet 16th birthday party in Dadeville, Alabama. The shooting, which occurred Saturday night, left four dead and 32 others injured.
The teens, 17-year-old Ty Reik McCullough and 16-year-old Travis McCullough will be tried as adults, according to fifth circuit district attorney Mike Segrest.
“We’ve still got four in the hospital and four that are in critical condition,” Segrest said. “This is just the tip of the iceberg.”
Under Alabama law, “reckless murder” involves “extreme indifference to human life and a suspect that “recklessly engages in reckless conduct that creates a grave risk of death,” to others.

Flowers and balloons sit piled outside the Mahogany Masterpiece dance studio.
The shooting, which reportedly occurred at a dance studio, marks the highest number of injuries in any mass shooting so far this year and is one of at least 165 mass shootings within the last four months.
During a press conference Wednesday, Sgt. Jeremy Burkett with the Alabama Law enforcement agency they will throw anyone who pulls out a gun and starts shooting people in jail.
“We’re thinking about the families right now, and we will be through the end of this investigation,” Burkett said. “Someone has to start thinking about mama, because we’re tired of going to the mothers of these children and telling them that their kids aren’t coming home.”
The district attorney says that more charges are expected to come in relation to those that were injured. There is still no clear motive for the shooting.
“We can’t get into that motive right now,” Burkett said. “That would be part of an ongoing investigation. We can’t share that.”
According to CNN, Authorities have also not mentioned what connection, if any, the suspects had to Alexis Dowdell’s sweet 16 birthday party. Their hometown, Tuskegee, is 30 miles south of Dadeville.

Alexis Dowdell’s sweet 16 was in full swing when gunfire erupted Saturday evening, witnesses said. Her 18-year-old brother was killed along with three other guests.
A candlelight vigil, honoring the four victims is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT Thursday at the Mt. Lovely Baptist Church in Camp Hill, Alabama.
After four days of uncertainty, the family of Dowdell siblings have spoken about the arrests. LaShonda Allen, the aunt of Phil and Alexis Dowdell said she is happy someone will be held responsible for the shooting.
Phil Dowdell, a promising athlete, was one month away from graduation and was looking to attend Jacksonville State on a football scholarship.
“I just want justice for my baby,” Phil’s mother Latonya Allen told CNN earlier this week. “They took away a piece of my heart, and I know the other mothers and father feel the same.”
