Many students outside of the musical theatre world might ask “What is Firebringer”. Yeah, I was one of those students until watching this show and known friends who were involved I never heard of the show. Firebringer is a comedy musical based on one tribe of cave-people trying to survive the many trails of prehistoric life under the wise leadership of character, Jemilla, also known as the “The Peacemaker”. Jemilla taught her people to express themselves, rather than bashing each others’ heads with rocks and eating each others’ babies. But while one member of the tribe doesn’t seem to fit in: Zazzalil. She’s always trying to invent things to make life easier…for herself. While out hatching her latest scheme, Zazzalil stumbles upon Theo most important discovery in history. One that will pit her tribe against wooly mammoths, saber-toothed tigers, and change the world forever. She’ll travel from omega to alpha, and become….The Firebringer!
The Show was presented by the Theatre Student Organization and directed by Carson Reed. The show was held in Palmer Hall on April 23 at 2pm. For information and details within the show you click here.
