Undergraduate Research Program is hosting a 5k run and One-Mile walk this Friday. The event will begin at 2 p.m.

After the run, medals will be awarded to:

  • First, second and third place winners (male) in the 5K Run 
  • First, second and third place winners (female) in the 5K Run 
  • First place winner One-Mile Fun Walk (male)  
  • First place winner in the One-Mile Fun Walk (female)

There will be prizes for:  

  • Best costume 
  • Department with most participants  
  • Student organization with the most participants

On-site registration begins on Friday at 1:15 p.m. Depending on the weather, registration will be moved inside the student activity center. 

Entree fee for the event is $5 for students, $10 for faculty/staff and $15 for everyone else at the on-site registrations. Cash and checks are only accepted, checks can be written out to “UM Run for Research.”

Students, faculty and staff can come to Tonja Battle in Ramsay Hall, Office 131, to receive and turn in your Run form and for a chance to receive a t-shirt to commemorate the event that is on a first come  first serve basis.
