MONTEVALLO, Ala. — University of Montevallo Men’s Basketball team is advancing to the Gulf South Conference semifinals after a 67-60 win against University of West Alabama on Tuesday, March 4.

The women’s team also competed in the quarterfinals this Tuesday. However, did not come out with a win. They lost to Union University 38-87.

The men’s win on Tuesday upped their season record to 20-9. This win also marks the first time the team has advanced to GSC since 2007. 

The semifinals will be hosted Saturday, March 9 at the Pete Hanna Center at Samford University in Birmingham, Ala. UM, now the number three seed, will take on the number two seed, Valdosta State at 7:15 p.m.
