MONTEVALLO, Ala. — The new Acrobatics and Tumbling team at University of Montevallo is hosting their first home meet Friday, March 7.
The meet will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Central State Bank Arena inside the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center. The team will compete against Mars Hill University.
The first 100 students will get a free t-shirt and the first 250 fans will receive a free souvenir cup. Admission is free.
A pre-game cookout will also be hosted by SGA and Greek Life outside the SAC from 4-5:30 p.m.
The Falcons Acrobatics and Tumbling team is now 1-1 after losing to no. 13 Saint Leo on Saturday, Feb. 22. Despite a loss, Montevallo scored a season-high of 85.44 in the team event.
The UM Acrobatics and Tumbling team is made up of 25 athletes, a majority being freshman.
