MONTEVALLO, Ala. — Alpha Delta Pi’s Zeta Delta chapter at the University of Montevallo announced its upcoming closure.

News about the impending shutdown was shared at the chapter’s philanthropy event, ADPi’s Got Talent on Wednesday, March 12.

Following the announcement, many members, both from ADPi and other Greek life organizations on campus, shared their love for Zeta Delta on social media platforms.

In the post made by UM ADPi’s official Instagram, it was said that the decision to close the chapter was made earlier in March by ADPi’s Executive Offices.

Members have said the last official day will be April 13, 2025.

The Zeta Delta chapter was chartered at UM in December of 1971, meaning that 2024 marked 53 years on campus. ADPi is the first National Panhellenic Council chapter to close on UM’s campus.

The closure means that four NPC chapters will host formal recruitment in Fall 2025.

The chapter asks for campus and community support as they complete this transitional time.

The official post also directed all questions regarding the closure to their Executive Office
