MONTEVALLO, Ala. — April is Stress Awareness Month, and with finals week just around the corner, students, faculty and staff are certainly aware of their stress.
To help give people a healthy outlet for stress relief, UM’s Faculty and Staff Senates are teaming up to sponsor the Finals Fitness Week program.
Beginning April 28, the program will offer various fitness classes designed to help students, faculty and staff refocus during the stressful time of finals week.
Classes include breathwork, kickboxing, yoga and Zumba. All classes will be taught in the Old Gym dance studio.
Class Schedule
Monday, April 28:
- Breathing through Stress: 10-11 a.m.
- Kickboxing: 3-4 p.m.
- Zumba: 5-6 p.m.
Tuesday, April 29:
- Breathwork: 4:30-5 p.m.
- Yoga: 5-6 p.m.
Wednesday, April 30:
- Zumba: 5-6 p.m.
Whether you’re looking to work out some finals tension or relax through calming breathwork, the Finals Week Fitness program offers something for everyone.
