MONTEVALLO, Ala. — The University of Montevallo’s homecoming festivities begin this week. Also known as College Night to alumni and students, the competition has been ongoing since 1919. College Night has many events going on all throughout the week, you can keep up with all of the action through the full schedule on Montevallo’s website.
Listed below are a couple of important events for current students as well as alumni returning to campus.
- The historic Purple vs. Gold College Night Basketball Game will take place at noon on Saturday, located in the Robert M. McChesney Student Activity Center. The game is open to the public, and you can attend at no cost.
- College Nights most popular attraction is the Gold and Purple Side shows, which start on Wednesday night and run until Saturday. If you would like to attend one of the performances, you can find balcony or floor tickets here.
- For alumni who are returning to campus, the University is hosting events as well as reunion parties throughout the week. You can purchase your homecoming tickets on the university website.
- For those who cannot attend any homecoming events in person, both the PV and GV final shows will be live streamed on Saturday with a winner declared shortly after on the MontevalloForYou YouTube channel.
