This Wednesday, Feb. 25, the Department of Communication and the Career Development Center will be hosting the third annual Communication Career Day. The networking fair will be from 10-11:30 a.m. in the McChesney Student Activity Center atrium.
Around two dozen organizations and companies will be in attendance, according to Dr. Bruce Finklea, professor of mass communication. Students can explore jobs in print, digital, film, radio, and broadcasting. There will also be companies representing marketing and banking. This event is open to all students.
Every job uses communication.

The event will also provide students the opportunity to pursue graduate programs. Finklea says this is an ideal way for students to network with professionals and alumni who can help them land a real-world job.
This is a great way to “shortcut” the hiring process and form a relationship that will make applying for a job a lot easier.
