MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Falcon Foods and Chartwells has officially opened the fall 2026 Freddie’s Kitchen concepts survey, allowing students to vote on the three dining concepts offered in Freddie’s.
The survey provides 13 new concept options for students to choose from, potentially replacing BONMi and/or City Mac.
Veg23 will remain in Freddie’s Kitchen regardless of survey results.
The survey will be accepting responses through April 1.
Current Concepts
BONMi

The first of the three current options is BONMi, which offers Vietnamese sandwiches, salads and bowls.
City Mac

The current second concept is City Mac, offering a customizable mac and cheese bowl option.
Veg 23

Finally, the last concept is Veg 23. A vegan and vegetarian friendly option, which was the first of its kind at UM, and will remain for the fall 2026 semester.
Potential Concepts on the survey for fall 2026
A scale of $-$$$ denotes the cost point of each potential option according to Jason Quarles, General Manager of Campus Dining. The scale is included on the survey as well.
Pulled & Chopped – $$
An option providing students with barbecue sandwiches and bowls.
The Damn Good Bowl – $
A customizable grain and salad bowl option.
Mediterranean Pure Foods – $$
Middle-eastern inspired bowls, salads and sandwiches.
Rotisserie Joe’s – $$
Menu includes an assortment of rotisserie chicken quarters, sandwiches and salads.
Vindy – $
Offering Indian themed entrees, bowls and sides.
Sauced – $
A fully customizable build your own pasta bar.
ESO Latin – $
Latin inspired bowls, salads and burritos.
J’s Kitchen New York – $$
An asian inspired option, offering Japanese Inspired Noodles & Bowls.
Mikey Pomodoro – $$
Sandwiches, sliders, bowls and fries.
The Whole Pie – $$$
The expensive option, offering 9 and 12 inch pizzas made-to-order.
Hoagie Grinder Submarine – $
A simple deli-style sandwich and wrap option.
Blended Bliss – $$
A drink option concept, offering 100 percent real-fruit smoothies and refreshers.
The Good Egg – $
Egg-based breakfast wraps, bowls and sandwiches.
