MONTEVALLO Ala.– For many student’s spring break is a time to relax and spend time with friends, but many students are worried instead about spending too much money on gas. Over the last week gas prices across the state of Alabama have increased by almost 40 cents per gallon. Jumping about 10 cents in price since Monday.
The average cost per gallon in March of 2025 came in at $2.73, with prices now almost a dollar more expensive as of today. There is no timetable on when gas prices will start to decrease in price, with rising costs being accredited to ongoing conflict in the middle east.
