The Chi Omega Sorority hosted its  fifth annual 5k color run this past Saturday morning. The purpose of the event was to raise funds and awareness for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Alabama.

The event consisted of a 5k walk/run along with free concessions, face painting, door prizes, and of course fun!

It was an all ages event and participants were encouraged to wear their best neon and brightly colored gear.

Chi Omega member and Montevallo senior Jordan Fowler stated “I felt the event has been a success and it is a great way to give back to the community.”

The turnout of people for the race this year was good with the crowd topping out over a 100 people. The only area that was hard to find was a good parking spot because of the great turnout.

The Chi Omega girls were overjoyed for all the people that showed up for their event and were able to reach their make-a-wish goal like the previous years of 10,000 dollars.

They look forward to more races and continued traditions for University of Montevallo Greek Life.
