Looking for a spot to get away from your busy schedule AND learn a little about Alabama’s history at the same time?
Van De Graaff Arboretum and Historic Bridge Park in Northport, Alabama is the perfect place for you to escape from reality.
While it is home to some of nature’s calming backdrops, it is also the original site of Alabama’s oldest iron bridge, which dates back to 1882.
The park also allows goers to enjoy canoe rides, walking trails, and even campsites for those to set up tents for a little overnight getaway to Mother Nature.
Van de Graaff is a great location for a small summer vacation to sit back and relax the nature and history of the Heart of Dixie.
