Finals are almost over and the holiday break has yet to begin.
On December 11, 2020 by 5 pm, students are to be packed up and ready to leave Hanson hall dormitory. Students are first required to schedule an appointment with their floor RA or stop by between 7-9 pm to pick up COVID re-entry test kits.
This test is required for every student on campus that are returning in the spring semester of 2021. Students are making an effort to get the kits in hope of returning to a safe and healthy spring semester.
Residence Hall Director Natalie Seavers says ” Today we are passing out the COVID tests its provided by the university so that everybody can get a hopeful negative results and be able to safely come back and just start their spring semester”. Students having being following protocol and signing up to receive their kits.
Anna Glass 2nd floor RA says ” Its going great were getting the kits passed out so the spring semester can be safe and awesome”. RA’s are working very diligently to make sure everyone has and kit and will not forget to take it home over the break. UM students continue to be cautious as we work through these troubling times. COVID might have stopped a lot of things but not the will for these students to push through and finish the semester strong.
For the most part guidelines are still being implemented to continue keeping everyone safe.
