Dr. Bernice King speaks at the University of Montevallo

Recently Dr. Bernice King spoke to the students and staff at the University of Montevallo. She spoke to the students as part of a lecture series that the University is doing. She spoke on her father and the impact that he had during his life and she also spoke on how she tries to further his goals and push forward what he was trying to achieve.

I decided to sit down and talk with a student’s Leah Tkacik and Garrett Johnson who attended the lecture to see what they thought about it. “It was pretty cool and nice to hear her speak on such important issues and especially coming from her perspective,” said Garrett Johnson

Leah Tkacik said, “I thought it was neat and very nice that they were able to get her to come in and to talk to us.”
