The drive is not far if you want to learn more about the stars and planets in the sky, You just have to travel three miles away to a University astronomy club meeting.

We look through our telescope and sometimes we look through other objects, and learn other galaxies other nepublas stuff like that” Co-President Cole Swain said.

The astronomy club meets every other Wednesday at the James Wylie Shepherd Observatory. Their meetings are open to the general public and they encourage people to come out. They have state-of-the-art facilities which are 100% sustainable, ADA accessible and all powered by solar panels.
