MONTEVALLO, Ala. — The head coach of the University of Montevallo’s e-sports team has announced his resignation from the team.

Coach Ethan Baggett was in charge of the esports team’s social media as well as their broadcast production team.

Baggett, a University of Montevallo alum, was the head coach since September 2023.

Coach Baggett’s last day will be March 22 2025.

The esports team has announced that Dr. Brandon Beal will serve as the interim head coach for the remainder of the semester.

The UM is currently looking for a new esports head coach.
