Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority hosted an event on financial literacy. The Sorority chose this event because it was one of their national programs and they felt it was important to college students.

We know a lot of students have to take out loans and they have to save their money in order to pay for college. So, we thought why not educate them on effective ways to save, and effective ways to budget.  Said Torian Blackburn President of the Mu Mu Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.

The sorority partnered with Phi Ch Theta Business Fraternity in order to help create the presentation. Students gathered around asking question about credit debt and how-to save consistently.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority has several programs that focuses on community growth.
