MONTEVALLO, Ala. — As the semester draws to a close, students are shifting focus from classwork to studying.
As the University of Montevallo move into the final week of the semester many students are breaking their schedule and staying up in the library just to study.
Many students are finally cramming in all the studying they need to pass the finals that have been looming all semester.
Students like Makayla Hemphill, who says, “It feels like a lot is happening all at once.”
While some students may opt to study in their dorms certain students are finding unique situations determining their study spot.
Student athletes are feeling the effects of this the most this finals week with many students traveling out of state to play while needing crucial study time. UM tennis player Sophia Baillos finds that while traveling you have to study in places you might not think of.
Baillos says, “I also study a lot on the bus. I think my teammates do the same. Between matches as we’re watching we study a lot as well.”
For students looking for a change of scenery from their dorm the Carmichael library is open around the clock Sunday April 25 through Wednesday April 29.
