MONTEVALLO, Ala. – Four candidates are visiting campus this week, part of the ongoing search for the new president of the University of Montevallo.
Each candidate will participate in events on campus to get to know students and faculty and answer questions. UM encourages all members of the university community to attend the sessions and share their thoughts in a brief feedback survey, sent out after each session.
One of the candidates, Holly Tankersly, Ph.D., completed her visit Monday. The rest of the visits are scheduled as follows:
- Friday, April 24th: Alejandra Sosa Pieroni, Ed.D.
- Monday, April 27th: Blake Hudson, J.D.
- Tuesday, April 28th: Michelle Johnston, Ph.D.
Each student Q and A session takes place from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the Alan and Lindsay Song Center for the Arts. The candidates will answer questions submitted by students last week through the Student Government Association.
After the student sessions, the candidates will participate in meetings with constituites and faculty throughout the day. For more information on the candidates backgrounds and qualifications, visit the Presidential Candidates page on UM’s website.
Updates on the search will also be posted online, as well as shared on UM social media accounts.
